RIP Wendell Berry
Wendell Berry was one of the truly great communicators and thinkers who helped the environmental movement take hold. If you haven't read The Unsettling of America, please do. A quote from one of my conversations with Randy Hayes (founder of Rainforest Action Network) about the difficulty of communicating the need for environmental responsibility captures Berry's significance. "Let's just tell the truth as best and powerfully as we can, and when we can do so, poetically. We need a little more Wendell Berry in all of us."
